Pastor Sherri brings vision, passion, and an entrepreneurial spirit to Giving Tree Global that come from years of preparation in a variety of leadership positions in various fields across the globe. She is a Harvard-educated lawyer who also has an M.B.A in international business, an M.A. in Slavic Linguistics, and a B.A. in Russian and economics. She has her doctorate degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio and is an ordained pastor. She has international business experience as finance manager for Procter & Gamble Germany, and was a key member of the start-up team of Procter & Gamble Russia. Sherri's legal experience comes from her time spent as an associate at Simpson Thatcher and Bartlett in New York City. Pastor Sherri is currently professor at Global Awakening Theological Seminary. From the halls of prestigious institutions to the streets of the roughest neighborhoods, from CEO’s of multi-national corporations to those who struggle to put food on the table, Sherri brings a world of experience to Giving Tree Global.
Allison has a B.S. in Human Development from Cornell University, an M.Ed in International Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and an M.Ed in Reading from Lehman College. She is a certified elementary and reading teacher who taught at the United Nations International School before working as an Administrative Assistant at Yo-Yo Ma’s non-profit organization, the Silk Road Project. She has worked in several corporate and retail organizations before bringing her strong administrative gifts to Giving Tree Global. She has enjoyed many domestic and international volunteer activities including assisting with mentally challenged adults, restoring medieval castles in France, working at a Haitian hospital and orphanage, caring for children in a Korean orphanage, and organizing a children’s summer camp in Kazakhstan.
Sue has over 20 years of leadership experience in Corporate Human Resources. Her career began at Solomon Brothers in the financial services industry. She then spent 10 years at Simon and Schuster working with all levels of the organization managing change and problem solving. She partnered with the leadership team in benefit plan design, due diligence reviews and in the development and implementation of communication plans. Later Sue's role became VP of People Services and Human Resource Operations at Revlon where, she formulated strategies, policies and practices and coached both employees and management. Sue is a bridge-builder and a great asset to Giving Tree Global.
