Food Rescue
Giving Tree Global "Bread of life" operates like a food bank. Through Food Rescue our team works with grocery stores and restaurants to recover edible food that would be discarded as waste and deliver it to local food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters all free of charge.
63,000 pounds of food weekly

Delivery to 13 locations weekly
Food Pantries
At the food pantries we foster a sense of family and community. Bread of Life is the place where the hungry come to be fed and the community comes to serve. In addition to food we also distribute children's clothing.
1,300 people served in Rye

400 people served weekly in White Plains
1300 bags of children's clothing
What is Food Rescue?
Food Rescue is the collection of edible food that would otherwise go to waste and distributing it to people facing hunger. Over 108 billion pounds of food are wasted in the United States every year.
This waste goes into our landfills.

We work with grocery stores to recover over 63,000 pounds of edible food weekly and deliver it to 13 local food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters all free of charge.

Our goal is to help ensure that no one, especially the must vulnerable members of our community, ever experiences hunger or food insecurity.
