By Melanie Cane - Rye Record

Bread of Life, a home grown Rye organization that feeds over 10,000 of Westchester's hungry and food insecure weekly, held its 3rd annual community celebration fundraiser May 2nd at Serendipity Labs, which donated the use of the space. Over 125 people attended the event and helped raise $25,000. Some 20 local restaurants donated the food and beverages, and items for the silent auction and raffle donated by residents and businesses. Rye High School Jazz Band and Rhythm on Rye provided entertainment throughout the evening. According to husband and wife founders Pastor Pasquale Falco and Dr Sherri Falco who started the nonprofit in 2013 and continue to run it from their home, "Bread of Life is about leaving the world a little bit better than we found it by living our our faith and showing the love of God in tangible ways. We have hundreds of volunteers of all ages. We even have families whose grandparents volunteer with their grandchildren."
