Our community has certainly been given a lot of lemons in the past couple of years. We have faced a global pandemic, weathered horrible floods last September with the storm Ida, and are now dealing with skyrocketing food prices due to inflation. Yet silver linings often come from adversity. It is so heartwarming to see the giving spirit of some of the young people in our community. We have seen countless examples of kids who step out to help others during difficult times. We would like to thank Ella, Hannah, Will, Nina, and Ava for hosting a lemonade stand and food drive and donating the proceeds to the Bread of Life to help others who are hungry in our community.
