Each year we have high school interns who help us for several weeks as part of their senior year. This year we had a wonderful intern from Rye High School, Michael Maro, who helped with the food rescue and in every aspect of the Bread of Life.
According to Michael, he wanted to intern with the Bread of Life because of the help Bread of Life provided to his family during a challenging time. Throughout the past month Michael has blessed us and so many of our food recipients with his incredible work ethic and can-do attitude!
We are so grateful to Michael and all of the students who volunteer with us and make a difference in the lives of those who are struggling with food insecurity in our community.
